First Day
Please come to school at 8 am on Monday.
Please bring with you:
Passport
Insurance
VISA
You will take a placement test.
Don’t stress! We just want to make sure we place you in the best class for your level!

After the test, you will receive an orientation session (in English) including school rules, activities and a tour around the school premises.
​
We also have multi-lingual support staff who speak Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, Hindi, German, Afrikaans, Malay, Czech, Slovakian and Russian.
About
Beginner to Advanced students start with General English before moving on to more advanced courses. Students develop all 4 language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in this course.
Level Placement
Students take a placement test on their first day to determine their English level. Maximum 18 students per class*

Student Accommodation
LSNZ Student Houses are offered to our students who prefer independent living.
This is a great place to make friends from all around the world, continue your English practice and enjoy your life in New Zealand.
When you are taken to the accommodation you will receive your keys, a set of sheets, pillowcases, a duvet and a pillow for your bed.

The houses are only for students over the age of 18.

Homestay Accommodation
A homestay experience is a great way to connect with the local community and practice your English. Homestay families like to know you, your country and your culture, so please talk to your family as much as possible.
Please follow the family’s rules and ask your family if you are unsure about something. Here are some standard family rules:
🚫 DO NOT smoke inside the house.

🚫 Speak English with your family.
​
🚫 Please limit your shower time to 5-10 minutes.
​
🚫 Keep your room clean and tidy.
​
🚫 Call or text if you will be home late.
​
🚫 Turn off your heater when you are not in the room.
