NZ English Course Information

Language Schools New Zealand offers English Courses in the south island of New Zealand. English courses at our stunning Queenstown and Christchurch English Language Schools are among the best in the country, along with the beatiful surroundings and friendly staff.

General English: Full Time

English tuition 25 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:15pm-3:15pm.

Morning lessons concentrate on grammatical correctness, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills as well as reading and writing. Many texts are used and students are encouraged to speak as much as possible.

Afternoon lessons concentrate on spoken skills, conversation and discussion activities. Games, tapes, videos and DVDs are used as well as situational activities. Speaking, speaking and more speaking!

General English: Part time

• Morning course: 15 hours/week, Monday - Friday 9:00am -12:00pm

• Afternoon course: 10 hours/week, Mon to Fri 1:15pm - 3:15pm.
  
• Fee: $285 per week (Morning), $210 per week (Afternoon)

Study & Ski/Snowboard:

• Tuition: 15 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm. Monday-Friday pm Skiing/Snowboarding with the teacher at the local ski field. Duration 1 - 12 weeks, June - September
  
• Fee: $700 per week (5 Afternoons at the ski area)
  $580 per week (3 Afternoons at the ski area)
  
• In Christchurch two full days per week at the ski area and three days full time study $620 per week.

Study & Activity:

• Tuition: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm
  
• Activities: Monday-Friday every afternoon with the teacher. Duration 1 - 12 weeks January - March.
  
• Fee: 1-12 weeks $595 per week

Exam Preparation:

• Available for IELTS and Cambridge
  
• IELTS preparation available all year.
  
• Fee: as for General English.

High School Preparation:

• Available for intending students. High School introductions also available.

Business English:

Study & Work Experience:

• Study English and then gain valuable Work Experience at a New Zealand company.
  
• Duration - minimum 4 weeks English Full Time (FT) followed by Work Experience.
  
• Fee - Placement Fee of $750 for 4 week FT English Course, $500 for 6 week FT course and $300 for 7 week plus FT English Course(conditions apply, please see separate information)

Study & Farm Experience:

• After studying English at our schools, live and work on a New Zealand farm in exchange for accommodation.
  
• A great New Zealand Experience.
  
• Fee: Placement Fee of $300 for the first farm, $100 for each extra farm (conditions apply, please see separate information)

  COMBO COURSE:

  • For students who wish to travel around New Zealand while studying. Choose any combination of four schools from our own Queenstown and Christchurch Language Schools as well as our partner schools; Worldwide School of English in Auckland, and New Horizon College of English in Napier. Study for a minimum of two weeks at 2, 3 or 4 schools. A great way to see New Zealand and study English.
    
  • Fee:
    Full Time: $340 per week,

  Registration and Accommodation Fees 09:

  • Registration: $200. (Paid only once)
    
  • Accommodation Placement: $150. (Paid only once, for finding a good family or placing students in our student apartments and counselling students throughout their accommodation).
    
  • Airport Pick Up: Free with homestay or apartment accommodation. $50 if required in Chch for transit students or in any other situations.
    
  • Homestay: QUEENSTOWN $220 per week - CHRISTCHURCH $220 per week. Homestay fee includes breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and all meals at the weekends. Students get own room, area to study, and adequate heating. Note a winter surplus of $10 per week is charged 1st June to 30th September
    
  • LSNZ Student Apartments: Share = $150.00 per week, Single = $200 per week (See separate information for fees and conditions.) Public Holidays
    
  • Text Book Deposit: $60.00
    
  • IELTS Material fee: $60.00 per 6 week block
  
  

  Public Holidays:

  • The school is closed for all New Zealand public holidays and for two weeks at Christmas.
